Meet
Tes, the Chief Copywriter
Since Tes was a young girl, she knew what she wanted to be when she grew up: a writer. In 5th grade, she was among a handful of recipients of the Young Author's Award in her hometown of Grand Forks, ND.
As she grew into her teens, she fell in love with advertising. When most girls her age had posters of Bon Jovi, Matt Dillon, or Ralph Macchio plastered to their walls, she had magazine ads strategically positioned across every vertical surface of her room.
(Okay, so maybe she had a poster of River Phoenix thumb tacked above her bed.)
The graphics, visual effects, and smart copy of advertisements are what she loved. Although she had a good eye for art, she was never much of an artist; writing, on the other hand, came easily and naturally.
Upon arrival at college, studying advertising seemed like a perfect choice. That's what she did. She holds a BA in Advertising with an emphasis in English from the University of North Dakota.
With more than 12 years of professional writing experience under her belt, Tes founded Filbert Marketing Communications in 2009.
